It’s key to always look towards the future, remembering the past 🕊️

As we launch into this new era of human spaceflight and Artemis ...missions to the Moon, we must never forget the astronauts and others who gave their lives to further the cause of exploration and discovery.

Spaceflight is inherently risky. This is why we test our systems exhaustively before putting astronauts in our spacecraft and rockets. NASA remembers the crews of Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia, and the ultimate sacrifice they made to advance space exploration. We, as an agency, must uphold their legacy by doing the best we can to stay vigilant and keep our crews safe.

...C-130 crews partner annually to support Operation Christmas Drop, which delivers supplies and gifts to residents living on remote Pacific islands.

Recently the 71st drop was conducted, and it remains the longest-running U.S. Department of Defense humanitarian and disaster relief mission that is supported by multiple Herc fleets from across the region.
