Kevin Schoonover

Kevin Schoonover is the Vice President of Defense Programs at Karman Space & Defense. With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Schoonover’s expertise in business development, classified programs, agile program execution, and mergers & acquisitions provide invaluable support to the Karman SD organization. Previously, Kevin held leadership roles at Kratos Defense managing a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of agile defense programs, including efforts in missile defense targets and hypersonic flight tests.

Mr. Schoonover’s career includes significant roles at Raytheon and Orbital ATK, where he focused on advanced missile systems, solid rocket motor propulsion, and additive manufacturing. Also, he co-founded Integrated Global Insights, LLC (iGi), a small business focused on prototype technologies for USSOCOM and consulting in advanced solid rocket motor technologies.

Mr. Schoonover holds an MBA from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering with Honors from the University of Maryland (UMD) – College Park. In addition, he has been awarded the UMD Young Alumnus of the Year (2013) and Aviation Weekly Top 40 under 40 Rising Star in Aerospace & Defense Industry (2012).
