Mark Mahboubi

Mark Mahboubi serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Karman Space & Defense, where he leads efforts to drive manufacturing excellence across the company. His focus includes optimizing the utilization of existing equipment while also overseeing the selection and integration of new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Mr. Mahboubi has over 30 years of experience in design engineering and advanced manufacturing technologies in the aerospace, defense, energy, and space markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in California, reaffirming a strong foundation that has enhanced his extensive knowledge and experience in operational growth, team building, new product development, lean manufacturing, significant EBIDTA improvement, full P&L business, and M&A.

Prior to joining Karman Space & Defense, Mr. Mahboubi was employed at R&B Machine “A BrightWater Partners Company”, STADCO, and Senior Aerospace – SSP Division, with his last 2 roles as President/CEO. He is also a member of Advisory and Development Council of California State University Long Beach, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department.
