Doug Laurendeau

Douglas (Doug) Laurendeau is Chief Growth Officer at Karman Space & Defense, a role he assumed in May 2026.

In this capacity, Laurendeau leverages more than four decades of experience in aerospace and defense, developing the growth strategy and business capture priorities for the company. He works across functional and operational areas to align programs, technology, customers and mission in support of building on and expanding Karman’s position as a different kind of space and defense company, supporting both established primes and new-entrant players in these markets.

Prior to joining Karman, Laurendeau was Vice President of Enterprise Strategy Integration for Lockheed Martin Corporation, spearheading a team that included the executive heads of Corporate Strategy, Corporate BD/Transformation, and Cross-Enterprise Integration. That remit included developing the growth strategy for Lockheed Martin’s $71B business portfolio, working across the four business areas and all functions to drive profitable growth.

Laurendeau held many executive positions during his long tenure with Lockheed Martin, including Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Business Area, where he was responsible for the business growth of this $15B portfolio. He also served as Vice President of Business Development for two different lines of business within RMS: Integrated Warfare Systems and Sensors (IWSS), where he addressed customers’ advanced requirements for Aegis Combat Systems, radar systems, mission systems, electronic warfare and directed energy, and C4ISR and Undersea Systems, focusing on next-generation undersea warfare systems and command, control, communication and computer (C4) systems.

Laurendeau has also held leadership positions that focused on strategy and business development in support of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), MH-60R helicopter, and electronic systems. His career with Lockheed Martin began in 1984 and also included positions in engineering and program management.

A Clarkson University alumnus, Laurendeau earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, graduating with honors, and completed the Executive Finance program at the Kellogg School of Management. He and his wife Cecelia reside in Bethesda, Maryland.
