Matt Hayes

Matt Hays serves the as General Manager of the Portland site at Karman Space & Defense. In this role, he leverages his operational background to oversee performance, drive strategic growth, and manage operational excellence.

Mr. Hays brings over 10 years of operational experience, primarily within the aerospace industry. Prior to Karman Space & Defense’s acquisition of Rapid Machining Solutions (RMS) in 2024, Mr. Hays served as the Operations Manager at RMS, playing a key role in the site’s production and efficiency. Before his tenure at RMS, he gained significant operational expertise as an operational professional within the Aerospace Industry at Precision Castparts Corporation. His focus includes optimizing production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet customer needs.

Mr. Hays obtained his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University.
