Susan Bridgman

As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Karman Space & Defense, Susan Bridgman leads the company’s legal and compliance functions. She works closely with leadership, contracts and marketing to ensure adherence to complex regulatory frameworks across all operations.

Before joining Karman, Susan served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Field Aerospace, overseeing legal strategy and compliance with ITAR, EAR, FAR, and DSS regulations. As President of Emerald Advisors, she advised multinational corporations on export controls, sanctions, and anti-bribery laws, developing global compliance programs to mitigate risk. She also served as International Trade Compliance Counsel for Teradata Corporation, managing the company’s global trade compliance operations and regulatory strategy.

Earlier in her career, Susan managed LexisNexis contracting processes, created an accredited corporate ethics and compliance curriculum for the University of Dayton School of Law, and established the first professional sales function at Brady Ware & Company. She also practiced as a Senior Tax Attorney at Chernesky Heyman & Kress and Chief Transfer Pricing Attorney at NCR Corporation, and began her legal career as a Staff Attorney for the Second District Court of Appeals of Ohio.

Susan earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Language and Arts & Sciences from The Ohio State University
