[Huntington Beach, Calif. August 2, 2023]AEC, Division of Karman Space & Defense, and Northrop Grumman hosted a signing ceremony for a 5-year long-term agreement. The agreement solidifies the partnerships between the two companies and ensures that AEC will continue to support increased production rates for the GEM 63/XL program. The event was held in the construction zone of AEC’s recently expanded facility being established with four new state-of-the-art large machines.

Furthermore, the Northrop Grumman Supply Chain Management Team honored AEC with a supplier recognition certificate for their significant contribution to the GEM63/XL program.

“Successfully fabricating and delivering numerous machined parts and critical complex assemblies, supporting both the Atlas and Vulcan launch vehicles thru 2029 is a tremendous achievement. The effort AEC has demonstrated with the expansion of their footprint, adding state-of-the-art equipment, and a dedicated and skilled staff to accommodate a large increase in volume; demonstrates the commitment AEC’s Team has with Northrop Grumman,” said Mark Hansen, Northrop Grumman’s Sr. Category Manager.

“We are excited to continue providing high-quality mission-critical hardware within our customer’s demanding schedules. This is a great example of our team’s agility, responsiveness, and relentless determination,” said Mark Mahboubi, Division President of AEC.
